When I was a teenager, one of my first mail order purchases of magic was the silk to egg trick. When I opened the package I was greatly disappointment. I received a white plastic Easter egg with a hole in it. You could easily see where the two halves met and it would never be taken seriously as a real egg.
Since then I have owned a couple of fake eggs with holes in them from various vendors with various levels of realism. However, I was wondering if a 3D printed plastic egg would work with this trick. The short answer: Yes!
This 21st century egg is very realistic and no seams in it like that first plastic egg I purchased back in the 20th century. The egg is the same size as a USA grade large egg and the hole has been reinforced to provide additional strength and will work with 3/4" stickers.
